Agricultural Worker Health Program
The Agricultural Worker Health Program (AWH) is a committed resource to agricultural workers by providing health education, health management, transportation, advocacy, and insurance assistance in our Prospect Hill and Moncure Community Health Centers.
Through a strategic partnership with the State of North Carolina, Piedmont Health’s Agricultural Worker Health Program provides vital outreach in seven counties. Our bilingual health workers provide on-site assessments at farmworker camps, bridging the gap between agricultural communities and essential medical care.

Do I qualify for AWH Program services?
We have 3 Qualifications for Agricultural Workers: H-2A, Seasonal, and Retired.
- We work with people that come from another country, with visa for work in the fields, we refer to them as H-2A workers
- Seasonal workers, are those people that only work temporarily in the fields when it’s the planting and harvesting time
- The Retired workers are those who worked in agriculture for more than 10 years and don’t do it anymore
Why register with us?
- The Agricultural Worker Health Program’s priority is to help you navigate the health care system and assist with transportation, language, and time barriers that making accessing health services that much more difficult.
