Join Our Board

Why Join?

Board service is a form of volunteerism, and it typically involves organizational oversight, guarding the mission, and vision casting. If this is in line with your desired involvement, then board service might be right for you.

About our Board

At least 51% of the health center’s board members must be patients who use the center’s services. These patient board members should reflect the demographics of the health center’s community, including factors like race, ethnicity, and gender.

The remaining board members, who are not patients, should also represent the community and bring expertise in areas like community affairs, local government, finance, law, trade unions, business, or social services.

Preferred Skills

For our 2025 board recruitment cycle, we are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience serving on nonprofit boards, particularly governing boards.
  • Expertise in fundraising and resource development (All Board members are expected to actively support and engage in fundraising efforts aligned with our mission.)
  • Legal professionals with relevant expertise.
Board Application Process
  • Email your expression of interest to Pam Williamson, Executive Administrative Assistant (williamp@piedmonthealth.org).
  • Complete the Board application.
  • Participate in a one-on-one meeting with CEO Daniella Jaimes-Colina.
  • Invited to meet board members.
  • Sit in on a Board meeting.
  • The Board and leadership team will vote on your candidacy.
