Myself and/or my child is covered by Medicaid. Can we be seen at Piedmont Health?
Our centers accept all Medicaid patients. In some of our centers, assistance in applying for Medicaid is offered.
I am interested in your Women/Infant/Children’s (WIC) services – how does it work?
WIC is also referred to as the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program. WIC is a federal program designed to provide food to low-income pregnant, postpartum and breastfeeding women, infants and children until the age of five. The program provides a combination of nutrition education, supplemental foods, effective in preventing and improving nutrition related health problems within its population. To receive additional information you can call your health center or visit www.ncdhhs.gov/ncwic/mywic
I receive my primary care at Piedmont Health, but I just became pregnant. Where should I go?
Most of our providers offer prenatal care. As a pregnant patient, you are welcome to continue being seen by your doctor. In many cases it is even recommended, given the established relationship existing between you and your doctor. We can also continue to care for your baby after it’s born and support you with a variety of programs.
Can I use the pharmacy if I am not a patient?
Only registered patients of our centers may access our pharmacy.
If I am sick or need urgent care, can I walk in?
We urge our patients to call (888) 200-7001 or text (704) 471-6008 as soon as possible in the morning if they are experiencing symptoms of illness. If you are unable to call, you may walk in and be seen by our triage nurse, who will then determine the best course of action.
Do you offer flu shots during cold season?
We offer flu shots to registered patients as available.
How do I become a patient?
You may call (888) 200-7001 or text (704) 471-6008 our scheduling team to schedule a new patient appointment.
I just moved to the area, how can I find out if my medical insurance is accepted at Piedmont Health?
We accept a wide variety of insurances. You can call your insurance company for information regarding where and by whom your insurance is accepted or call one of our centers for more information.
Is it a walk-in clinic?
There are “same-day” appointments available to registered patients for urgent medical concerns. Patients may call for a scheduled appointment. Registered patients may also walk in and be seen by our triage nurse, who will determine if an appointment is needed.
Is it a free clinic?

What kinds of doctors do you have?
We employ licensed primary care physicians as well as nurse practitioners, physician assistants, certified nurse midwives, pharmacists, behavioral health consultants, and dentists.

Yes, we accept all patients, regardless of whether or not they have a health insurance policy. We offer a sliding fee discount to all patients that is based on household income and family size.
Call (888) 200-7001 or Text (704) 471-6008 for appointments.

We have ten different sites operating throughout the Piedmont region. We are located in four counties – Alamance, Orange, Chatham and Caswell – and serve patients from at least 14 surrounding counties.
